Champion (arthritis)
"Caroline
Mather from Rutherglen has a cat called Champion. He's 14
and is plagued by arthritis in his back legs.
"Caroline herself suffers from
acute back pain and regularly goes to meetings of the Pain
Association.
At a recent get-together ... Caroline bought a magnetic
bracelet. It seemed to work, too. She's been been feeling
a lot better since she started wearing it. This set her thinking.
If magnotherapy worked or her, could it help Champion?
"Champion now wears a natty
new collar with a little bell and a magnet - and it's
worked wonders for him, too. The poor puss used to drag his
back legs, but he's now moving around freely. He's even able
to climb the stairs and leap on to the bed again."

Dodger (arthritis, furless tummy)
"Dodger
is 17 years old. As a young cat and into middle age she was
extremely active and healthy. At 12 years old she lost all
the fur on her tummy. Her fastidious nature would not allow
her to leave this alone so she eventually licked her tummy
raw. She spent the next 4 years being medicated and in and
out of an Elizabethan collar. Added to this she had developed
arthritis in her front legs particularly. She could no longer
jump up onto her bed or into the windows to watch the birds.
"A few days before her 17th
birthday I saw the advert for Bioflow
and decided to give it a chance as all else had failed...
She has once more become the scourge of the bird and rodent
population. She was so proud. She is able to jump up onto
her bed again, sit in the windows and, a real bonus, her tummy
is nearly 100% covered in fur again."
