How Magnetic Therapy Works

The medical profession accepts and supports the use of electrically-generated pulsed magnetic fields to help relieve pain. Usually, these can only be generated by the use of expensive and cumbersome equipment used by professional therapists in the health service.

Bioflow magnetic therapy products mimic these electrically-generated pulsed magnetic fields. through a patented pulsed magnetic field known as Central Reverse Polarity ™. It is completely safe and does not require electrical power.

As blood passes through the magnetic field, it is subjected to a pulsing effect which we believe helps the body maintain a balanced pH (the information base of pain) and maintain good conductivity in the cells (essential for good health).

What makes Bioflow magnetic therapy products different from other magnotherapy products?

Bioflow's magnets have a patented (and therefore unique) design called Central Reverse Polarity (CRP). Bioflow CRP magnets present both North and South poles on the same side (see diagram above). So, instead of blood flowing past the static magnetic field of a normal magnet, with a Bioflow magnetic therapy product, blood is subjected to a pulsed magnetic field, similar to that used by health professionals. Discover more about Central Reverse Polarity magnets, and why they are so much more powerful (and effective) than standard magnets...

Bioflow magnets are made from neodymium, which is a rare metal. It can hold its magnetic field for many hundreds of years, which is why Bioflow's magnetic properties are guaranteed for life! The size of magnet, strength and depth of its magnetic field are important factors in successful magnetic therapy treatment. The magnets in some products are very small, with a very shallow depth of magnetic field, which is insufficient to reach the blood supply.

What can magnetic therapy do?

It has been proven that magnetic therapy helps alleviate aches and pains. Although we have many satisfied customers, we make no specific claims about the benefits of magnetic therapy. As with prescription and over-the-counter drugs, the effectiveness of magnetic therapy varies from person to person. Before trying magnetic therapy products, we encourage you to check with your doctor to reassure yourself that it can do no harm to your condition.

Does magnetic therapy really work?

There are numerous testimonials on file at Ecoflow's head office and in the hands of individual distributors which tell of the amazing results that many people have experienced by using Bioflow's unique magnetic therapy bracelets and wrist straps. In fact, a high percentage of Ecoflow's distributors started out as customers, then joined the business because of the dramatic results they achieved!

The following is an extract from an online article in the Health Section of the Daily Mail Online, 17th December, 2004. It discusses a report published in the BMJ (Britsh Medical Journal) about some research carried out on osteoarthritis patients using Bioflow bracelets.

Magnets DO work, say researchers

Researchers said today that magnetic bracelets, worn by many for their supposed health benefits, do reduce the pain of osteoarthritis.

The study focused on 194 patients, aged 45 to 80, who had osteoarthritis of the hip or knee. The group were either given a standard strength magnetic bracelet, a weak magnetic bracelet or a non-magnetic, dummy bracelet. The researchers, from the Peninsula Medical School in Plymouth, found pain was significantly reduced in the patients wearing the standard magnetic bracelet compared to the dummy one.

The researchers, writing in the British Medical Journal, said: "Pain from osteoarthritis of the hip and knee decreases when wearing magnetic bracelets." The team said their findings suggested that the benefit of magnetic bracelets was clinically useful, but higher strength magnets seemed to be needed.

"Results appear to show that wearing a magnetic bracelet does reduce pain in people with hip and knee osteoarthritis... As magnetic bracelets are quite cheap and safe, people with osteoarthritis might want to consider wearing them as part of their self-help regime."
